A 20, 30 & this lovely 46.10 mirror for Gabbs from a tricky local club water, all landed using the Sea Monsta 🦑 🐙 🦐
“Ash’s Thoughts on Bait” With 🍂 now upon us there’s no substitute for using a decent food bait, when we say “Food Bait” most think that means a Boilie with the old HNV school thought from the 80s. In truth those old school trends were in the main designed around protein levels, some in excess of 60%.
With studies done over the last 30 years it’s been proven that carp can only absorb around 28-30%. So anything higher is basically wasted protein especially in old carp! Where does this leave our bait? We design our powder mixes around a complete amino acid profile meaning we use many ingredients which all have their own essential minerals, vitamins, proteins, fats etc these come together to help support/sustain and promote growth 🐋 ✅ 💪
Within Tails Up’s Sea Monsta base mix there is over 20 ingredients that leave the finished bait with a complete nutritional profile but also include key ingredients that carp simply adore and crave! The bait isn’t finished there though, the Liquid Attractor System is also a key part of giving the finished Boilie a label for the fish to recognise and come back to time after time, that would be rendered useless though if the base mix wasn’t beneficial to them.
The attractor system is a blend of liquids including flavours, oils and marine extracts. We don’t just use one flavour house either when for example using a Squid 🦑 flavour. We have spent many years sourcing flavours that not only again provide a flavour/smell but also a taste and by blending 2 companies that we believe provide both those individually that gives the bait that extra edge over the next Boilie in the swim next door 😉✅👏
The Sea Monsta in truth is my working life’s work, nearly 20 years! A product we at Tails Up are very proud of and as they say results speak for themselves 🎣 🐋👌😊💪

Rick just returned from an amazing trip to Lac Baleine where his party landed 75 fish!
Their total included 3 x 50s, 6 x 40s and yes 54 x 30s, and 9 x 30s. Incredibly if they had landed all the carp they hooked they would have broken the Venue record for most fish in a week.
Power of the Sea Monsta and Pro Marine and matching products 💪💪✅✅
“You said they would Jump in my net” Terrys recent run of fish since moving over properly to the Sea Monsta!
He laughed when I said it and now I’m the one smiling 😊

Mark with a recent Solar Flarez ☀️ capture which is quite fitting with the weather we have in stall for us this week.
Our Solar Flarez pop ups were first designed in 2005. A blend of pineapples, not just one which gives them a beautiful sweet yet fresh 🍍 smell, gently blended with low level Butric Acid a classic all time carp attractor 👌💪
Our pop up mix also stays up all night, 11,14,16mm all Pop Up any presentations even stiff links.
Not too late for some floater fishing, with some great weather due over the next week.
Andrew made the most of the weather today getting a few feeding, resulting in his second biggest carp caught off the surface.

Here’s Oz with a mega 40lber caught from heavily pressured tricky club lake landed using the Sea Monsta.
As we head towards autumn it’s never more important then to have a quality Boilie that’s going to stand you well when competing against the “naturals”!
Tails Up, Sea Monsta Boilie is one such bait that provides everything a carp needs from releasing signals they can’t resist to digesting essential minerals that they require to thrive in their environment, massive edge when naturals are in abundance 💪
Congratulations 👏 to young Sam on his 1st 🇬🇧 Forty, a fish known as “Lips” from a local club lake. Since passing his driving test there has been no stopping Sam, with multiple Pbs.
His enthusiasm for angling is quite frankly rarely seen in youngsters of his age! I’ve known Sam all his life, even from a 4 year old he knew all the big fish names in one of the local lakes that his Dad, Tim at the time was fishing! He had the bug from that early age and with his dad’s guidance, nurturing his enthusiasm over those early years has no doubt helped make him the angler he is today.
Even today a forty is a massive milestone, one he’s been dreaming of achieving since a young boy so well done from all at Tails Up and here’s to the next one! Sam used a Stinky Squidz Corker fished over a bed of Pro Marine to an area he had been priming for a little while.
“The one I most wanted, Lockney! First trip, first bite - Stinky Squid 🦑 pop up and Sea Monsta Boilie 🦑 🐙🦐🐚 doing the trick as normal 💪🏻” - Charlie
The mighty Hendrix from at the time Cleverley Mere now Ashbury Fisheries.
Way back in 2010 Hendrix was my first 40lber off the top, a moment I’d dreamed of ever since a young lad watching passion for angling in the early 90s!
What makes it more special is at the time I was using a product called Floater Oil a product we have sold since the late 2000s and still sell today along side our Floater Pelletz in 6 & 11mm and now I’m proud to bring to you our new Floaterz Hookbaits.
Congratulations to Sam on his new Personal Best of 36lb 12oz.
Spotting some fish feeding in the edge, he lowered a Pro Marine hook bait and some crumb in amongst them.
It wasn’t long before he had the lakes largest resident safely in the his net!
Sam also landed another cracking 30lber using the same tactics.
At a time of year when Particles can come into their own our Pro Seed Boilie has for the last decade been the first choice for a number of our anglers.
Richard Whiting is one such angler who has quietly gone about his business over a number of years with the majority of his fish falling to the Pro Seed, in recent times using the Cornz alongside to simply devastating effect.
30K Raised for Motor Neurone’s Disease in Memory of Paul Forward.
@linearfisheriesofficial B1 & B2 hosted the event, where many of the names from the industry and lots of happy anglers joined them for the weekend.
Tails Up Pro Team member Chris got to fish with @davelevyofficial and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves landing a number of carp off the top using our New Floater Pelletz and even landed a nice mirror off the bottom on a single large Cornz over a big bed of Particle at 100 yards range.
One of the best in the pond for Dan and his son 😊
Another Jelly Babyz capture, this attractor profile smells simply divine 🍊🍍🍋🍓
Jelly Babyz pop ups coming soon
Over the moon 🌝 a lovely estate lake carp and James’s first fish using Tails Up. James used Sea Monsta Boilie and a new pop up on test known as Jelly Babyz which are due for release later this year.

Luke Gilvray with North Mets Box Common at 47lb 6oz.
Instant success for Luke, incredibly it was only his 3rd night on the notorious venue using Sea Monsta & Pro Marine boilie soaked in matching liquids and powders.
Billy Smashes his Personal Best! Lifting the sling from the lake Billy soon realised just how big this fish was, before turning the scales to 40lb 7oz! Finding a little gravel patch, Billy presented a slip d rig with an Ocm hook bait, topped with @cornz_plastic_free Super Cornz. Baiting with a scattering of Ocm over the spot.
A trio of “Gems” for Chris using the Sea Monsta & Pro Marine. The Gem at 33lb 2oz, The Shredder at 28lb 4oz and the Shark at 32lb 4oz all landed from an impressive 160 yards range.
Mega spring for Drew using the Pro Marine ended with this pukka 36lb mirror.

Critically Balanced Double Cornz or Pink Sea Monsta Fluoro critical hookbaits, fished on a Slip D Rig
A year today a picture I never got to share as a few days later I said goodbye to my father.
Though Dad had been ill for a long time, nothing can prepare you for that day. It’s left a massive whole in my life and not a day goes by I don’t think about him, especially with the journey I’ve been on the last few years! Now I’m sharing it with my own family and son who is telling me how to catch the rudd these days 🙈
For the time being, when it comes to carp fishing I still have the edge, here’s Blind Eye from the Top Lake at 40lb 11oz. A morning I will never forget that’s for sure.
I woke to the birds singing, having slept under the stars as Conor had the bivvy for the night. It was a beautiful late spring morning with the mist rising the middle rod let out a burst of bleeps, it wasn’t long before I realised I was doing battle with a big common!
A few minutes later and Blind Eye laid in the net looking massive!
The moment shared with Conor and good friends.
Like Busses! Mark landed not one but two Wraysbury originals from the famous Bus Stop swim on the North lake.
His first trip to the venue, Mark was quickly off the mark with a nice 30lb linear before later in his session securing a peg know as the Bus Stop where he set traps as the fish moved in and out of the sanctuary behind cigar island.
Landing Paw Print and the Red October 🐋🐋
Mark used Sea Monsta 🦐🦑 and Cornz 🌽 to land 2 of the old guard.
A 7 Fish hit over 24 hours topped off by landing a new Wraysbury South Lake Record at 45lb 5oz and Peters New Personal Best fall to Sea Monsta and Stinky Squidz pop up on his first trip using the Tails Up Bait.
Near 50 for Tim, and new personal best 💪👀
“I arrived down the lake late afternoon/evening and after not seeing any signs I opted to fish a zone that had done me well previously. I know the fish love a bit of bait all times of year and I know they especially have a taste for the Sea Monsta.
With this in mind I fished over 10 large spombs per rod of a variation of Sea Monsta, crushed, chopped, mixed sizes which was all dusted with the Sea Monsta powder and a good glazing of Sea Monsta extract liquid.
Hookbait choice was a Sea Monsta pink critical dumbell which had been curing in the matching hookbait powder and spray. The following day I received a textbook big fish bite which resulted in a new personal best and queen of the lake. Leia at 49lb 3oz, this was also capped off with a 29lb’er.”
Tosh Welton Smashes his Personal Best
Tosh lands Not Cash at 45lb from Ashbury Fisheries, The Mere. His 1st English 40 and in his words "the 11mm Solar Flarez are the the best pop ups I’ve ever used"
Tosh used scattering of Sea Monsta and his trusty 11mm Solar Flarez over the top.
Bank holiday vibes! Ben with the awesome “Sovereign” at 30lb 10oz from @ashbury_fisheries Top Lake. Classic spring tactics using a spread of Boilie to where the fish were showing.
I arrived at the lake around 10pm on a Sunday, I had the rods already pre clipped after going to the lake at 4am the previous Friday prior to work to hopefully locate the fish within a zone at dawn when you know the fish will be actively feeding.
After seeing a couple of subtle shows I clipped the rods up within the zone and deposited 5kg of sea monsta before heading off to work. By first light Monday morning I had already received two bites from the zone so I opted to deposit another 2kg of free offerings as the two fish were passing out the boilie on the mat.
Around 1pm on the Monday I received a steady take and upon picking up the rod I knew it was a better one. After a steady boat battle I slid the net under this near leather named “Chester” which was second in command and at 40lb and ounces it was a very satisfying opening night on the new syndicate.
- Matching Corker
- Bait Spray, Hookbait Powder
- 16mm Sea Monsta, 2kg free offerings soaked in sea monsta powder and Sea Monster Liquid Extract.
Steve sent an email a few weeks back about which boilie to use to target his silty lake with nice commons in! Our answer was 100% OCM, a proper red fishmeal with classic Orange & Condensed Milk liquid attractors, it boasts an impressive track record for silty lakes and big commons!
With his order placed and his bait rolled fresh to order for him. Something we have done since I took over the running of Tails Up since 2005! Some Freshly rolled OCM was soon on rout, it wasn’t long for Steve to send us some lovely pictures through of this rather cool common!
Over 30 fish and this mid 40 mirror ends a great winter campaign for James. Proving when you apply the bait correctly they will continue to feed right through the cold weather.
A mix of Pro Seed Boilie, Corn and a sprinkling of maggots had them feeding all winter. Now with spring in full swing they are super hungry!
Whilst zigs and singles might buy you a bonus bite there’s no gain or long term plan to fishing that way! Apply yourself and your bait and the rewards are there just as there has been for James.
- Pro Seed Hard Hookbait
Tosh Welton - New Personal Best
Orange Spot at 39lb from @ashbury_fisheries Top Lake. Tosh fished a quick over night session, using the classic spring tactic.
A spread of Boilie with a throwing stick and his trusted Yellow Pop Up over the top!
Spring in your step! This magnificent 36lb common fell to the Pro Seed and various trimmings. James has persevered all winter, fishing as much as he could whilst being consistent applying his bait with regularity!
His efforts have been handsomely rewarded with this being his 30th fish of his campaign! @james_freeman_fishing also landed 7 other carp on a day session from his local syndicate, this one wasn’t even the biggest!
- Pro Seed Range
- Pro Seed Fresh Frozen
- Pro Seed Slick Oil
- Pro Seed Hard Hookbait
